This was witnessed when Coach Alex stepped into the ring on Saturday 28th September at Leicester Sports Centre for an explosive muay thai / thai boxing fight, amongst a crowd of over 1,500 spectators.  This was his first fight since December 2022, following an unexpected serious family illness during 2023, when he spent 6 months of the year in Italy.  Preceding the fight, Alex had to contend with several battles; to lose 26 kg to achieve his fight weight and to get himself fighting fit within 3 months, hence this occasion was a very significant chapter in his fight career!

Over 90 supporters attended the event from The Eagles, including friends and family, where everyone formed together as a united front! ‘Teamwork makes the dream work!’  The atmosphere was electric as the crowd awaited this monumental moment with great anticipation!  Coach Alex did not disappoint! He used the heavy power of his punches and kicks to knock down his opponent twice during the first round, the second 8-count happening at the end of the first round, moments before the bell.  Alex then stopped his opponent by TKO during the second round.  The crowd went wild as the ‘Alex’ chants and cheers echoed around the arena!

To sum up, it was a fantastic and successful night, enjoyed by all!
